When I'm there I get more the feeling it's like the one thing that makes them feel "normal" and connected to their past/lineage more than anything else.

That being said, we didn't fight a war to just to fawn over them anymore, which is why I generally don't care for them. I am ready to the "the Queen is dead love live the King" so there's that

I think much of their crap already is a park or public land at this point.

It’s none of my business what they do with their monarchy, because unfortunately I am not British. If it were up to me, we would have never gone to war with them and would all be one big happy family now.
