I wasn't saying Utah might win. I was saying if they win, it might put TCU in the playoffs. It's also possible OSU and Alabama both jump them. Just depends on how badly we embarrass them.

I'm just saying chances are better if USC is out.  I been hearing all day about how TCU deserves it, win or lose the CCG.  Problem is they then turn around and say the CFP committee may use the "eye test", and move TCU as 5th and put OSU or LSU/Alabama in.

USC losing would definitely put TCU in a really good if not a near locked position. LSU has 3 losses, they are not in regardless of what happens. tOSU with a USC loss is also like a lock, so it comes down to whether or not Bama jumps over TCU, which would also somehow mean putting in a team that lost to Tennessee with the same record (I know the Hooker is hurt argument is going to keep them out) but it would make the committee IMO look really bad if they do it.

What’s with dudes fair catching punts at the 5-yard line these days? Do they not teach the 10-yard-line rule any longer?
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

The problem is no one trusts the CFP committee.  Blue Blood Fever.

Do you think Williams's field injury will affect USC's chances?  Also, if the returner is good at gaining yards he may run it out of the end zone, so not surprised.

And to do that, Bama would have to jump TCU AND tOSU. Bama is behind tOSU currently, and neither school has an opportunity to improve its resume. For either to jump a team that STILL HAS MORE WINS than them would be preposterous IMO.

That was my thought like most of the second half. Idk if that was 4D coaching or just being kind of a dick.

Not disagreeing at all, it just seems crazy if they did that (unless we win like 55-0 or some crap)

After this game it's basically deciding the seeding of Michigan/UGA/TCU/OSU imo, I'll be pretty pissed (but dejectedly resigned) if bama gets in. I just think doing so destroys any sort of a facade of not playing to the big schools

Sure, but I think it's how it goes. Would love to be wrong. It's ridiculous that a 4 team playoff doesn't require a conference championship.

Not disagreeing at all and glad the 12 team at least rewards winning your conference and that in general bama should be excluded (and ideally Ohio State too) but doesn't make it any less dumb

I don't think so.   Alabama is sitting at home this weekend.   Alabama's best win is on road to Texas with game winning FG.  I think it would take 25+ to over take a 1 loss TCU, and don't think should happen at all.

pretty dumb to give up seven points on that blocked fg, buy lsu looks like the clearly better team.  rise up, three-loss teams.

it's hard to believe the same god that saw justice done in the big 12 is responsible for these obscene bounces in the sec.

No, and haven't for a while. The thought is that if your returner can catch it on the five, a gunner can down it inside the five. If you let the ball hit on the, let's say 8, that ball is almost certainly getting downed inside the 5.
