Rubley in to start the 4th

Seems like he's pretty accurate, threaded some balls in there. Just needs to get rid of it a little quicker.

Rubley > Martinez this game. Hopefully, AM just needed to get the jitters out of his system this game.

Offense was vanilla but it would be weird if it wasn’t given the situation. We were up 14-0 after running one offensive play.

I think he was understandably avoiding trying to fit the ball into tight spaces. His passing stats look pretty bad but we also never needed it.

The new president was cruising around in the parking lot giving all the kids call hall ice cream out the back of a golf cart and pulled up to our spot on the west side and was handing it out. I recognized him as someone I should know but couldn’t place him until he left. Pretty cool. Looks extraordinarily young.

He should because it's going to be a fun year to watch Cats winning in the newly improved stadium.  Now if I could just get my ass out there to see some exciting football this year, but I gave my season tickets up in '18.
Hot time in Kat town tonight.

I saw these being handed out and threw an actual fit. To make matters worse the voucher I saw sitting on the table belonged to an ex. Some very nice blue hair literally put her hand on my shoulder and said "I got an email about it, you should check it on your phone." What do you know but there's an email from K-State athletics about my very own bobblehead.  :excited: now I'm afraid to open it because my wild ass three year old yeeted it like it was a football.

I thought Travis Theis had a good game. Sophomore running back from Pratt Kansas. Any greenbacks on this board know anything about his potential as a portal transfer?

broadcast said he grew up a ku fan, seems unlikely

I would venture a guess that half the Kansas kids on our football team grew up as Jayhawk basketball fans. It is a tough nut to crack growing up in Kansas.  I’m not sure Travis game translates to power five running back but what the heck do I know?

He wouldn’t crack the 5 deep here, and honestly KU has a deeper RB room than we do.

Gem from a South Dakota board:

Does the rest of the conference schedule offensive power houses for their FBS game? We schedule Oklahoma, Oregon, KSU, etc while the Sioux get to go play the school for the blind down in Lincoln. Or state gets to go play an Iowa team that couldn't get a first down to save their lives.

Cruised by our tailgate as well...would have been a lot cooler if those purple coolers had cold beer in them.

The South Dakota game had a LOT going on in terms of the program overall.

1) 40 yr anniversary of the 1982 Independence Bowl team.  Couple dozen from that squad were in attendance for a reunion Thursday - Sat.
2) 10 yr anniversary of the 2012 BigXII Championship team (obviously)
3) Ring of Honor Inductees
4) The annual Golden Cat tailgate - was an interesting mix of former players from many generations/eras this year, given #1 and #2 above. Ell Roberson seemed to play host in the middle of the beer tent and took a ton of pictures with a lot of people's kids.  He was great to talk to and a good sport about it.
4a) KState Athletics does a great job on these events.  The beer tent was either Bud Light or Kona Brewing.

Klieman and Van Malone came by the Golden Cat event and spoke for a couple minutes - very cool.  It was clear they really care about having former players come by practice and the complex.  I don't recall ever seeing Snyder stop by an event w/in a couple hours of game time.

Just a great day in terms of weather, touchdowns and more touchdowns.
