So, reading through daxags this morning I think I understand what trump's play is here. Maga as a whole is deathly afraid of how popular Obama is/was and they think his popularity is solely because he's black and self-hating race-guilty white people voted for him into office. This is a desperate move to try and paint Harris as non-black or rejecting her black half so those people don't vote for her.
