Oh man, this thread really takes me back to rummaging through the cassettes at Walmart trying to decide which one to spend my allowance on (remember when Walmarts electronics section was in the middle of the store and partitioned off?). Elementary Joda thought his cassette collection of 90’s country was pretty epic.

Anyway, here’s my pick for the most underrated Garth Brooks song oat

Apparently the heart does forget somethin like that.

Holy crap Tom I’ve always known you are a complete stud/boss but this absolutely confirms it. Thank you sir. The second I saw the title the lyrics came back to me. Another gE.c success story. Incredible. 13/10

I guess we should post this bad boy for the record.

Dax knew Garth Brooks and had multiple great conversations with Garth Brooks before Garth Brooks was . . . Garth Brooks.  #daxbrag (not to be confused with a #fanningbrag)

That said, here's some Dwight Yoakam . . .

Garth was on the OSU track team, I was on the KSU track team.

You've got most of the story already, didn't think it was very cryptic.  Maybe for a KU guy I suppose.

Fifteen minutes later, when the Kansas locker room opened its doors to the media, the Jayhawks were still crying. Literally, bawling. All of them. I've never seen anything like it, and I've seen devastated college locker rooms -- after losses in the Final Four, the national championship game -- ever

Hey Tom,

Saw these guys with Jr. Brown in Ft. Worth back in the day.  They are great in concert.

Hell yes and hell yes. Incredible voices. I would sing along with Faith while tractor-ing  at the top of my 16 yo lungs.

I used to sing at the top of my lungs at that age riding the tractor and spitting sunflowers seeds.  Great times!  Nine to ten hours in the heat and eating dust while making up my own songs.
Hot time in Kat town tonight.

I didn't really become a country music listener until college 82-86.  Hours on the 4240 bailing hay listening to 61 Country
