I used to love getting the powercat weight lifting posters during the spring games. Thanks for the throwback memory, fellow goEMAW bro, D Scotthttps://twitter.com/DScottFritchen/status/1542503668129341440?s=20&t=Fq6oHUmzfzdjD5GcZqrp1Q
I’m hoping Dr. Litton will be a refreshing change of pace from General Myers, who I thought was a disaster.[tweet]1541378201347399680[/tweet]?s=20&t=plxiQGbYwlk7GiszWu6-Ig

Then Jim Leavitt burst through the door at Boca Ciega High School and changed everything. Leavitt, 38, had that smile, that hair, and that unmistakable, fast, excitable voice that sounded like he swigged 10 Mountain Dews on the 30-minute drive from St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport. Leavitt was the guy everybody heard at a dinner party. Leavitt never slept. Leavitt was entering his fifth year as co-defensive coordinator and inside linebackers coach at rising Kansas State, which came off back-to-back bowl games for the first time in history. Armed with stacks of VHS football highlight tapes along with a hard-charging, relentless pace, Leavitt was the Wildcats' ace-in-the-hole in recruiting, and he mined talent from the Sunshine State to the Sunflower State. He was a bulldog that wouldn't let go once he latched onto you.
Vaughn departs the stadium carrying his now-famous satchel. If the Wildcats return to Arlington in December, they might need to bring a bigger bag.
"My speed isn't bad, it's good," he begins. "If I get loose, I think I'll take it. I don't think anybody will really catch me. My second week here I got the 21 SAVAGE t-shirt that we wear. Maybe I don't look as fast because I'm a bigger guy or my strides are a little longer. "I was actually ninth in the nation when I ran a 4:39 mile at age 13. I went to Junior Olympics in Texas and Michigan and ran inside big stadiums, packed stadiums, so it's something I've been around before. I'm going to attack each day and be ready for it."
