Mich, you don’t know anyone who’s doing that right now.
Majority of my family is what I would describe as traditional republican. Not MAGA, pro-vax, etc. Local news watching republican v. Fox News watching. I think very highly of almost all of them. Much higher than my few leftist relatives but they are all abusive/strung-out losers unrelated to their politics. We also have some full blown MAGA, openly bigoted, anti-vax downgrades in the tree. I don’t think either side are really representative of their political party in general but just anecdotal to me. There are a lot of republicans and dems that have much more in common with each other than the noisy representatives of each extreme.

I'm not going to be hanging out with them for plenty of other reasons. You guys have mixed up the term of "MAGA" so much, it's not even funny anymore. Most of my lefty friends in college, used homophobic slurs (Knowing I had a gay uncle), and act like they're huge LGBTQ+ advocates now. MAGA is pretty much anything that doesn't fit your 2022 agenda these days and that might be more hateful, than how someone votes every 4 years.

OT but if you think spending on a bloated military is something the dems are against I've got some shocking news for you....

Just as one example you made a comment the other day, something to the effect about how this board used to be the edgy rival board and now everyone has kids and i dunno i'm sure you probably threw a "woke" in there. Anyway my point is, people are actually capable of like, growing and evolving? As they encounter more life experiences they gain perspective and evolve?fwiw I think college BAC and present day wacky would probably be best buds irl #commongroundedit: well, saying "present day" is redundant when describing wackycat, he is who he is and has always been and always will be

Other than me gE'ing on here, you know zero about me IRL. Unless you're someone I know without knowing I know you and if that's the case, you know I'm not like this IRL.
And we've somehow turned this thread into another session of the wacky victim-hood tour.
