this is very interesting, because i got "establishment lib" and you were more liberal on several questions than i was, and in fact the only two questions you were more conservative on was the first one on government services, and the 0-100 ratings of the parties....

I rated the dems with a 50 (failing grade) and the republicans with a 0 (also a failing grade).

I think I did like a 60 and 10. wild that anyone can look at current republicans and democrats and think they are equally good (or bad, or neutral) but everything else SD did was reasonable IMO and not much different from me (aka it's reasonable)

same but i think i gave dems a 30 because lets face it most of them are DINOs but at least they have the decency to tell me its raining when they piss on my shoes. pubs piss on my shoes and then scream about a boogie man going around pissing on everyones shoes and we should be afraid and the only way to get this boogie man to stop pissing on people's shoes is to pass legislation that has nothing to do with the shoe pissing and everything to do with advancing the agenda of whatever lobbies give them the most money, including but not limited to, the lobby for BigShoePissing

I went 70/0 to emphasize the divide. At this moment, the GOP is actively working to cover up a coup attempt in our own country's government. That is completely on another level. Several levels.

I mean, I have good and bad republican and dem friends/fam pretty equally. If it was elected pubs and dems I’d probably be 0 and 10 (Ben Sasse carrying a lot of water with that 10).

Same here!

I wanted more government (e.g. children’s services, mental health services are terrible now, and environmental protections) but I said small increases not large.

Apart from that nearly identical to SD.

Yeah I was thinking about the politicians from each party but I suppose the Republicans I choose to associate with are ok. But there's a bit of self selection with who I associate with.

I did 50/50 too actually.

If I hear person A is a republican or a democrat, it doesn't really change my opinion of them one way or another on the "cold/negative-warm/positive" spectrum.  Those terms are broad enough to not have much meaning without more context.

I think I did 60/10 Dems/Pubs, like Rusty! I (perhaps mis)read the question as referring to the parties themselves, not any individual Dem or Pub citizen.
My winning smile and can-do attitude.

Yeah, I took the question to be about political parties exactly because I would not think about actual people I encounter IRL in those terms. Also, it is a survey about party affiliation.

I think I did something like 40/10 Dems vs. pubs. These days if you call yourself a Republican in public without qualifying it I think it’s fair to assume you’re on board with elected Republicans’ main talking points, which are all just the worst rn.

When I was 14, I thought I was a Democrat, but I definitely held strong conservative beliefs. crap, the summer of mercy influenced a young me to become a member of Kansans for Life. I was also staunchly pro death penalty. I think I was more influenced by the views of my peers and the church than I was ma parents. The process into evolving into a leftist was a slow process as I matured and thought more critically about political issues at the time. I also loved Family Ties, but I definitely didn't get the Alex P. Keaton as a conservative, even though it was central to the show. I was 7 when that show started. Still know the theme song tho.

"What would we do baby, without us? Sha la la la."

Ambivalent Right, because I can no longer support the GOP as it exists today and my “never Trump” vote for Biden gives me the depression.

As a member of the progressive left, I feel the same way about that Biden vote.

Same. The only reason I gave the dem party a 50 is because there are a very slowly increasing number of influential dems who are only dems because of the two party system. The overall leadership of the party are spineless and aren't interested in making sacrifices to do what's right. They are primarily interested in grabbing and maintaining as much power as possible.
