Most of the rhetoric in Israel does not even acknowledge such a thing as a civilian at all. Everyone in Gaza is accountable for Hamas and the punishment is up to and including death and that is just the way it is.
Let’s not single out Israel, The US did plenty of double and triple tap drone strikes on weddings and funerals in Afghanistan and the Israelis don’t give a crap either.
I know everyone was laughing it up earlier about the pagers and maybe we all agree that the punishment for being born to a parent that has been designated a terrorist by another country means that they get to be judge jury and executioner on a death sentence at a time and place of their choosing with no recourse or regrets.
Of course Hamas kidnapping and killing a bunch of Israeli civilians was bad, but what is the discount on human life applied to Palestinians and Lebanese? Looks like they are hardly worth even a passing thought for most. And we aren’t arming Hamas, we are arming and supporting Israel.
