Sqwawk talk
« on: January 21, 2022, 01:29:27 PM »
We've hung with every team in the conference and fully expect tomorrow's game to go to the wire. Were it not for our Covid games, this would be a contest for the conference lead.

Would be wonderful to get something out of Bradford, because I don't think going to small lineup creates good matchups against Sqwawks.
Looking for Nowell to have a huge game and break the eff out of his shooting slump.

Over under of number of minutes Smith stays on the court before refs whistle him for a couple first half bogus fouls against Abagi? I'm saying 6.

Need to out rebound them and win the turnover battle. We're not a good rebounding team, but neither are they.

We will fall behind early by 10-15 and then will "keep it close" from that point forward.

we could win, we could lose, and at the end of the day it's basketball and nobody on the planet will know and nobody on the planet gives a crap either way. outside of the small parts of our fanbases that follow basketball obviously. imagine if we lost to them in football like texas did twice though, lmao. LET'S NOT DO THAT! haha, you guys know.

I'll probably have the game on in the background but not really too worried about it.

This is the correct answer. Fall behind 14 points by the 12 minute TV Timeout. Claw back to within 8 at half, go on a run to start the 2nd half and cut the lead to 3 with 10 minutes left then run out of gas and lose by 12.

Same as it ever was.

Feel bad for any great smelling and successful EMAW's if you have to sit next to a traveling KU basketball fan today.

I've seen the traveling KU basketball fan up close.   They've clearly never set foot in a classroom at a full time four year university, and well, yeesh.

Exactly why this game should never be played on a Saturday.

This weekend, we are commemorating the 2 year anniversary of the time that K-State player, down 59-81 in garbage time with KU dribbling the clock out, stole the ball and went in for a layup only to have his soul destroyed in a most embarrassing manner and nearly getting stool'd to death.

Isn’t this Dillon’s SS in fOOd? Your scenario typically occurs in the piss barn.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

I didn't realize KU is 83-12 vs. K-State since Larry Brown was hired, including winning 62 of the last 68. I might need to update my column.

It’s wild. Since LHC Bill Snyder and Roy Williams’ first seasons at KSU and KU respectively, KU is 71-10 vs KSU. That includes a 31-game win streak from 1994 until Wooly went into the barn and won in 2006.

Meantime KSU is 26-7 over KU in football, including two better-than-decade-long win streaks of 11 and 13.
