OU was 13-30 from 2 and 10-27 from 3, I wouldn't say they were shooting the lights out

problem is the offense couldn't get going with a traditional 5, but then without one rebounding was a mess...i guess on net though, the small ball lineup did better

That hasn't been the standard this year though. I think Kaosi has been really good and not only can't the small lineup rebound but more importantly, they can't guard. Nowell has actually been a really good rebounder and obviously we missed that tonight. I think the biggest problem with the small lineup is that Ish is a finesse player and he's not great on defense, especially against an even decent big

Ish got 2 rebounds. That's clearly not acceptable for a 6-9 guy and his lack of production killed us with OU's second-chance points.  He had a nice game in other areas, but his want to on the boards has to improve.

Sucks but our slow start killed us again. Once going we end up doing alright
Didn't watch, but how does a college basketball team score only 22 points in the first half. How can offense be this hard? Looked like we had 12 points with 7 min left in the first half. That is just putrid.

The only functional pg we have was out with covid

That was a key, even OU until the got the and 1 on the 3 pointer was equally as listless. Both teams look like they forgot how to play basketball for the first 2-3 minutes of the games, OU just figured it out sooner (lulz) than we did

They were missing their best player and two role players who had played every game before this one.

That's going to be the norm until teams develop immunity. We'll probably be forece to play a game w/o Pack, Smith, Ish or whomever.

We literally went like 7 and a half minutes or something like that without a field goal to start the game.  I'd say that had a pretty big impact on the outcome of the game.  My daughter's 6 year old team runs a better offense than the Cats.

KSU coming back and taking a decent lead will make the collapse that much sweeter.

Man, I didn't think my prediction of 6-8 close losses would happen consecutively to start conference play.

Small lineup down the stretch was great.

Wonder how many minutes that group can play each game? Smith is a stud

Normally, not much. Tech has no size on their front line at all and they looked pretty gassed playing a third game this week and a second in less than two days. For teams with a true big Massoud is completely overmatched.

He’s an elite distributor, its a shame we don’t have good finishers around the rim or he’d probably be top 10 in assists this year.

Taco Tech no match for a cornered oscar.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

What happens to a oscar cornered?

      Does it dry up
like a raisin in the sun?
      Or fester like a sore—
      And then run?
Does it stink like rotten meat?
      Or crust and sugar over—
      like a syrupy sweet?

      Maybe it just sags
      like a heavy load.

      Or does it explode?

Oh for sure, but not just that, I was also thinking about his hustle/strip turnovers he was created, especially those last 5ish minutes of the game, it seemed like be was everywhere on defense making guys 7 inches taller than him look slow and silly. He just seemed to be in the middle of every single TT possession, it was incredible
