Long Distance Moving Company
« on: October 26, 2021, 10:31:53 AM »
Moving from Denver to Portland in a few months.  Anyone have experience with long distance moving companies?  Looks like United, Arpin, or Atlas may be the best.

Sell ever-y-thing.  Buy new at the new place.

Ha! Well thankfully my wife's job is paying for the move, we just have to pick the company.

Just look at reviews and if they have a bunch of decent ones you'll be fine. They're all pretty much the same with some variance in local crews.

Ask them if they’ll instead give you that money towards simply getting new stuff at your new place.

Well, really Vancouver, WA.  But most people only know the other Vancouver.

We used Atlas to move 2 hours away this summer. At least that was the name on the truck. I believe the company was named something different out of Topeka. Anyway, they did a decent enough job.
Sometimes I think of the Book of Job and how God likes to really eff with people.
