Def a weakness but I was also counting him vs Howard and that is like night and day so it always looked way better to my lqbiq eye

Absolutely. His biggest weakness by far.

His biggest weakness is being injury prone. If he doesn’t get signed that will be the biggest factor I think. Sky has pretty consistently played great when fully healthy.

I think Skylar can throw the ball.  I've just always been mystified by one aspect of his game though:  You know how for the Steelers Big Ben would stand in the pocket (not a super mobile dude...) and some defender would come flying through and hit his leg, etc. and Ben would just go ahead and throw the ball like nothing happened?  Well, Skylar seems to fall down more in those situations.  Or he will often side step them, take off and then trip over the next yard marker on the field.    In today's NFL where QB's are either expected to be a bit of a threat out of the pocket or a super poised robot like Brady I don't know where he's gonna fit?

He's not going anywhere past the scout team so the negatives don't really matter as long as he can throw a decent ball to whatever route the defense wants to work on.

Yeah, he’ll probably be a 3rd string guy in the league, which usually amounts to the practice squad these days. Even if this happens, I’m super happy for him. He’s overcame a lot. Easy guy to root for.

The problem with this assessment is I’m glued in on Mahomes on Sundays. That dude makes everyone look slow on progressions. I think Sky’s limit is back up, but could do some work ads fill in from time to time.

Watching Skylor throw the ball at the Combine.  Skylor passed the ball to a receiver about 20yrds out and it hits him hard in the chest and of course, he misses it as it bounces out.  The talking head says he can really throw the ball but needs to control the speed of the ball.  Tell it to Marino.  Thank Gawd, Kurt Warner it there to defend Skylor as he says Skylor has the strongest arm out thereafter he throws a long ball perfectly in the arms of the receiver. 

His accuracy is due to the shitty receivers he had to work with over the years.

His shuttle results are much better than his 40 times.  I think that matches what we saw on the field, much more of an evasive runner than a burner.

That what Klien was; a very smart and elusive runner, but not quick.

40 isn’t really a measure of quickness. I mean it’s almost half a football field. And Klein sure seemed fast on the field compared to the defense when he got in space. Although you wouldn’t guess it just by looking at him.

The day that Skylar Thompson suits up on a NFL Sunday we are going to play some golf then head to the closest casino that has sports betting available and double down on Skylars team to cover. The top 2 QB's on the Texans will go down and then Skylar steps in to lead a crucial TD drive at the end to help us cover the  +14 spread. 

(He will be named the starter and go 2-1 inspiring all sorts of hope in the Texans before tweaking his knee and finishing the season on IR)
