Without BCS revenue in our Athletic dept., will we be able to pay Frank Martin enough to stay?

No way dude. I bet Frank turned on SportsCenter at five, saw that NU was leaving and that the Big XII is dying slowly, did his stare, threw the controller at his television then yelled to Anya in the other room that, "we are leaving this b1tch in two years!" :curse:

Have we completely ruled out the possibility of collecting a fat check from the teams leaving the conference?  If not then frank will be  :driving:

It could work out to our benefit.

Big XII dissolves or absorbs whats left of the Big East and thus improving our recruiting and our basketball image.

IF we end up in a MWC type conference then yea, we're screwed at the first serious offer he gets.

The only reason I'm skeptical about us getting our money is that our lawyers would most likely be KU law graduates.

They'll find a way to hide all the money and then tell everyone that they couldn't get any

Yeah, I am pretty sure this is right.  The BITB has been saying that the BCS requires min 6 teams to remain to still be a BCS conf and if the south leaves along with Nubbs that there would be no more conf.  I pretty sure the conf is independent from it's BCS status.  I would think the conf, and it's agreements to it's members, would remain intact no matter what "system" it played under.

In other words, BCS or no, I think there would have to be a buyout involved unless there is 9 votes to dissolve.

Anyone confirm this?

The portion of Frank's contract that actually comes from the university  is not that much.  We'll still be able to afford him, so long as the private donations that make up the remainder still  keep coming in...
