IMO after freshman enrollment they should email every @k-state.edu address give them 2 weeks to buy tickets then open up the remaining GA tickets to the public with the 4 for $499 like they did in the NEZ for section 28

you have no idea. last year they NEVER EVEN SOLD OUT ICAT! We are waaaaay further ahead in ticket sales than we were last year, and it is entirely due to football. You can't expect this incoming generation of students to be big football fans when the last time we were relevant they were 10 or 11 years old. K-state needs a quality product for football before we can expect the old days of sold out student sections.

Seems like most students just care about tailgating these days. Half the girls in the parking lot couldn't even tell you who we are playing that day. I have a bunch of Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) friends that actually do buy tickets but miss like 2/3 of the games by getting too wasted to walk in.

My buddy (let's call him Phil) has a tradition at games that has always amazed me. This guy loves k-state sports, gets SUPER-pumped about games, and truly would love to actually attend them, but in two years of having season tickets never made it into a single one. His tailgating tradition never changed. We'd arrive and he'd start off with a few beers "just to be social". Then maybe some beer bongs but don't worry guys he's "pacing himself". Then it's on to chugging rum and cokes and tackling random friends/opposing fans. He'll start saying things like "you don't know your ASS from your ELBOW" when told he should probably take it easy. An hour later we'd get him to head into the game and find him passed out in a porta potty or something next to an empty Viaka bottle. ( or one time in a pile of horse crap)

Lets say the gametime that day is 3:00 p.m.

Phil at 10 a.m.- Super-pumped and ready for an early start  

11 a.m. Arriving at tailgate -    

Noon-  

1 p.m.-  

1:30 p.m.-  

1:45 p.m.-  

2:00 p.m. time to head in-

When we started ICAT as a Sophomore in '92, it was only the first 10 rows of one section for football.  We also had reserved seating in the Bram.  Got to see some great games from the second row of the student section in '93.

And you could get all of this for $90 for combo tix (bball and fball) and $20 for ICAT.
