I broke down and put the tree up yesterday before the katz game....First time I've ever put it up before thanksgiving.

Is it my fault we got pantz'd by ISU?

I moved the pumpkins into the back yard for the squirrels, rats, and racoons to finish off for good.

Tree decorations up.  One more tree,  but can't figure out light issue.  Held our breath as neighbors hung the icicles using a 20 ft ladder.

wife's most lusted after item: fuzzy slippers and hats and scarfs and crap.

SANTA IS ON THIS AS WELL COINCIDENTALLY

It's nice that you got an actual list, my wife asked for a knife set and a toaster, there's literally no chance I'm buying those things.

This photo is from a house across the street, it's nice, right? It's a young couple with no children. If you look closely, there are two very large pumpkins on the porch. It's also worth noting these people moved in the week of Halloween. They also have to wheel their trashcans by these pumpkins every Monday.

I have successfully convinced the entire family to not do presents for the last 3 years. It's wonderful.

Pumpkins are more appropriate November fall decorations than Christmas lights anyway. All you people are monsters, wait for December

Is it as glorious as the reviews? I had questioned spending this much on a Christmas tree stand, but I figured if it saved me 30 minutes every Christmas for the next 30 years, it would be worth it. I've thrown half my stands away the last 10 years because I lose the plastic tips / screws or the thing ends up cracking.  Figured it was time to make an investment.

We still have some of our pumpkins displayed on our porch.  The jackolanterns got mauled almost immediately by gangs of rodents.  Those aren't up anymore.

Where do some of y'all live? I literally used to live in a forest, literally, and I never had any vermin brave enough to come on my porch and eat our jack-o-lanterns.

Our pumpkins were destroyed by squirrels within days of being put out. Non-carved, intact pumpkins. Semi-Urban neighborhood.

Some enterprising squirrel should open an extortion racket where they promise to offer protection against some of the less refined squirrels for a reasonable fee of course

I whooped ass on the gang of rabbits that were eating my garden only to see them replaced by an even harder to capture/deter gang of squirrels.

Squirrels DGAF about fences/dogs/fake owls, they run all the rackets (garden/pumpkins/acorns/etc) in my hood.
