Yeah, I dunno about that, dax. I think the issue is far more nuanced, and in many instances they likely violate the Constitution. Regardless of how paramount you view the anonymity safety of the DHS officers, you cannot deny that such extraordinary powers, when applied in individual cases, likely fun afoul of the First Amendment. And I don't buy into any of the wartime powers bullshit Team Trump always tries to argue in court to justify their little unconstitutional incursions on Americans' rights.
