Alexander has kind of turned into a diva on Twitter ever since he opted out. I really liked him, but man, we're deep at his position anyways. I think I convinced myself that it's OK now, like a true boomer would.

I honestly don't pay attention to the secondary much. I was just mimicking another k-state beat writer take that I saw on twitter. Maybe we recruited studs? I just know Parker is a stud and that dude who was blowing ppl up and they're hurt right now.

Alexander bitched about not getting enough attention from the coaching staff after he opted out. They're kinda busy right now, you know?

Sad to Alexander go. I am not surprised as I assume most of the opt outs will be transfers or early draft declarations if they have the option. They already are satisfying the sit-out year so they are effectively open for recruitment.

I do think Kleiman will pull in more than we lose. He had to hit transfers effectively at NDSU so this will be a ripe opportunity to see if he can do it here.

Pola-Mao was the highest rated high school DT recruit in a long, long time. Potentially in the last 20+ years (one of the recruiting nerds can verify)...

Palo Mao has talent and there is a lot of talent that never plays. A few elite players can get by on talent, others require work and it sounds like this piece he was missing. I hope he finds it so he doesn't say "what if" im 10 years. I wish them all the best.

We put a 2019 class together on two weeks notice with tons of hold overs from the previous staff. Many of these players were not good fits but both sides tried to make it work. New Covid scholarship rules basically require the staff to cull underclassman to continue to make room for regular sized recruiting classes. I expect a few more and then we should be done. Next year attrition will be normalized.
