OU Football is Hurting
« on: October 03, 2020, 10:26:38 PM »
They wanted out of this conference, maybe we should just evict them. They might seriously start out 0-3 in this conference after Texas lays the wood on them next week. Joke of a program.

While I'm always happy whenever anything bad happens to the meth heads down in Norman, and them being forced to realize they're not the media darlings they think they are certainly counts, until the rest of the teams in this conference grow some balls and start knocking them off their pedestal (you know, like our awesome Wildcats of Manhattan have done for the past two years), it's tough to go with this thread title.

Did Nebraska try to pull out of that game? Or maybe Nebraska fans were just bitching about it or something?

They tried to pull out, we’re caught trying, and mocked shitloads. Then they had to act like they weren’t trying to pull out.

So you don't enjoy gEing every now and them (especially when they did start big 12 play 0-2 and came an OT away from being 0-3)?

Somebody should tell them that Nebraska is hurting and nobody outside of Norman and KK's house will be watching the ass-kicking past the first quarter.

I absolutely will watch every minute.  I am hoping for 80-0 OU.

Oh, I absolutely do. I'm just saying those emotions become tempered outside of our games with them when I see this:

2020 Big XII Champion: Oklahoma
2019 Big XII Champion: Oklahoma
2018 Big XII Champion: Oklahoma
2017 Big XII Champion: Oklahoma
2016 Big XII Champion: Oklahoma
2015 Big XII Champion: Oklahoma
2014 Big XII Champion: TCU
2013 Big XII Champion: Baylor
2012 Big XII Champion: K-State
2011 Big XII Champion: Oklahoma State
2010 Big XII Champion: Oklahoma

They were and are chosen for the 11:00 AM fox timeslot precisely because they are a media darling. If for had their way either OU, Texas, Ohio State, or Michigan would be in that slot every week. It's funny to me that after a million years of this happening they're still too stupid to get it. I can't imaging Ohio State or Michigan whining about that kick time as much as OU does.

Michigan thinks football only starts at noon. I think they whined quite a bit when they first played a 3:30 game for TV

Well, I might be wrong about the noon thing but I didn't realize the Big 10 didn't schedule November night games until 2014

I remember 2010 & 2011 when OU was complaining they had too many night games because they’d get ABC prime time, but also got a lot of 7:00pm FX/FSN/ESPN & 8:15pm ESPN2.

If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Happy for his family that Brent set his grandchildren up for life, but I don’t think it will go was well as OU’s last two coaches.
