It's just amazing to me to see when the reaction to an event going on and pointing out that it'll knock trump off the front page, automatically means said something else is being cheered on. It's such a non sequitur.

If there's any political party that knows about failed states, it's the political party whose leaders helped create at least 4 to 6 (at minimum) failed states across the globe in the last 25 years.

So this must be taken under consideration.

Good to know a major proponent of creating failed states is once again the Dem Pres nominee . . . and he's openly admitting he'll be leading us back into the failed state business starting with . . . Turkey.

Same, but I think that’s almost entirely because the market has continued a pretty impressive winning streak ever since Obama’s second term (which makes the “economic calamity” statement pretty disingenuous, btw). Take that away and things would feel a lot more dire all around.

So tens of millions unemployed, tons of sports/events/vacations, etc cancelled, 180k dead from something other places are doing much better at, and protests in the streets was not where your mind was at? More crazy than that? Whether he is directly blamed for that or not, his lack of anything forces me to wear a goddamn mask everywhere I go (which I am ok with) but I am not sure how you look around and be like "yeah, this wasn't as bad as I thought". Love to hear what you thought it was going to be.

I figured we would be on the wrong side of a war somewhere by now, with the economy performing worse than it has. The handling of the pandemic is predictably awful, but it's not really as bad as conducting warfare with a commander in chief who doesn't read his intelligence briefings would be.
