i mean i thought it was noble of him to commit giving all of his wealth back to various organizations to advance the human condition

See, there is definitely some disagreement about it. A strong alpha leader who was not compromised by the deep state would come out and advocate it.

If there is a readily available cure to heal his citizens the president should not abandon it because "its beating a dead horse"
