I’m not going to lie, sometimes I strongly entertain “we live in a simulation.”
Also, I’ve had this discussion with Phil before, but I’m sure I’ll go to my grave 50/50 on if Dax is a real person that legitimately believes what he’s saying or if he’s a sock. I can easily talk myself into either option.
I'm not so sure that this hasn't been multi decade long troll. The liberal movement that I once knew, that didn't believe anything the government said, marched on the streets against all wars and distrusted numerous specific government agencies immensely DOD, FBI, CIA with a white hot intensity. Is now the biggest mouthpiece and activists those agencies could have ever dreamed of having.
There was a time (for example) when 50 former intelligence people (some of the world's most highly trained liars) coming out and saying that something shouldn't be believed. When it would have been met with extreme ridicule, criticism and dismissal by the long dead mainstream liberal part of the Democrat party. Now it's accepted, extolled and parroted by the children of that former liberal mainstream Democrats (RIP)
