POLITICO: Biden flip-flops on door-knocking with just 33 days left.

Safe to say the poll average moved after the debate.

this is now day 5, so starting to breathe a little easier.  could easily still show up in the next couple days, though.

Fiance opened the door to a MAGA supporter. "Get off my porch before I shoot you." Door promptly closed.  :shakesfist:

I might live in a bubble, but that is pretty crazy that 1) Between the last 32 combined polls for Michigan-Minnesota-Wisky-Penn exactly 1 goes for trump (Michigan +1 for trump) and the same group did another poll a week later an gave the lead back to Biden (+2)

2) That NM is not even really considered competitive

But, I guess, that guy can do what he wants. I think FWIW it's going to be obnoxiously close this election, and laughable to think it'll be like 2016

I also don't put much stock in Biden winning NC or Florida or Ohio or Zona, but I wouldn't be surprised if he gets one of those.

Where I was getting those polls

If Biden wins Florida there is zero path to victory for Trump. That’s game over. Agree that’s a long shot.

I think Biden gets 2 of NC, Florida, Ohio, and Arizona. Maybe 3. I'd be surprised with 1 or fewer.

If Trump wins all "toss up" states and and all "lean Biden" states (538 definitions) he'd still lose.

Florida
Biden +3.6 in 538 poll average, +2.3 in RCP, and hasn't trailed in either since April.

Arizona
Biden +4.4 in 538 poll average, +3.4 in RCP, and hasn't trailed in either since March.

North Carolina
Biden +2.0 in 538 poll average, +1.2 in RCP, trailed some in RCP in May and August.

Yeah, he's favored in all of them, but the margins are small enough that he probably ends up with 2 or 3.

That, and I see them reverting back to "norms" I guess. If it still looks like that in 3 weeks, then yeah, would agree

How many people answer these polls that will be voting Trump but then when it comes down to it, their opinion of him will just keep them away totally kind of like happened to Hilldog in 16?

Not many. I can't imagine being willing to voice to someone that you are going to vote for Trump but be unwilling to do so anonymously.

I can definitely see it.  It for sure happened in 16.

I'm just happy that we'll have a POTUS like Joe "another lid" Biden.

We'll get a solid 4 to 5 hours a day out of Joe for the 6 months he'll be in office (give or take 1 or 2 months).

The few press conferences will be a two-fold treat.   The first being the absolutely leading softball "questions" he'll be asked, and the 2nd will be watching/listening to Joe read canned responses off a monitor on the podium.

The lack of gotcha's, and anally dissecting every decision, thought and movement will be absolutely palpable as well.   Likely a welcome multi-month vacation for the "media" and notably the end of racism on the entire planet as well.

A small respite may be had if Pubs hold the Senate and continue their ongoing and necessary investigation into the Biden's and the Chinese (and Russians/Ukrainians)
