Fire pits are big in California because it's always cold at night. Most are propane though

i used mine last night! (mostly because i'm just burning off a bunch of volunteer trees i've cut down over the past couple of years whenever the weather is nice enough for it)

Went to Extra Virgin after work, completely full with a line. It was really weird seeing that many people in a place.

around KC this weekend. The mask policy is a thing of the past here. Some employees wear but no customers are required to. If they are seeking to control us, they sure as hell gave up fast

Lot of restaurants downtown still requiring customers to wear them coming in. I still see more people wearing them even when they aren't required that I'd guess would be by now. My company took down our mask requirement if vaccinated and documenting it as such with HR.

New work policy just went live: no restrictions for the fully vaccinated. Requirement to upload proof of vaccination.

Unvaccinated must have a negative COVID test within 48 hours of going into the office.

Attendance for everyone is still completely voluntary.

A great balance IMO.

My mom FINALLY made an appointment to get the vaccine this week! I have been hammering her for months to go and get it. Had to do the same thing with masks last year before she started wearing one.
