Nope, just minimize contact with maga, which naturally makes everything more fun. Vax requirements were a great way to know a place was maga-free, but you can still pretty much eyeball a crowd and figure it out.

I've been sick for four days with fevers, chills and cough. Finally turning the corner a bit today but staying home from work. Not sure if it Covid or what. Tempted to get a PCR respiratory panel just out of curiosity. Reading reports about increased levels of Whooping cough and mycoplasma in the US currently.

Since I'm currently in a cough medicine, interleukin and hangover induced haze, I'm gonna go off script for a bit and say that cannot believe it has been 3 years since the Delta nightmare. So many patients suffered and died needlessly because of monetized anti-vaccine misinformation. Will never forget seeing people my age teetering between life and death, the horrible CT scans, loved ones weeping in the hallways. Will always remember the courage and endurance of the nurses, RTs, CNAs, x-ray techs, lab techs who showed up day after day to care for people despite everything being stretched to the breaking point. A lot more people would have died if it wasn't for them. It is also weird to have family who are like "was Covid even a real thing...?" (despite their own friends that were sickened or killed by the virus). Just a really bleak chapter...  I will quit now. Thanks for hearing me out. I will go back to my regularly scheduled shitposting.

dad is doing great all things considered. he'll never jog or anything but can go up steps without having to sit down immediately. he gets really discouraged because for whatever reason he held out some hope that his lungs could repair themselves eventually which isn't something that can happen. but, as close as we came to losing him we are grateful to have him with us in the condition he is in.

I was on the fence a bit anyway since I had covid a few months ago for I think only the second time. I didn't get this dose with my flu because I was going to the R's playoff game the next day and my last chip update made me pretty sick the next day. Where are we on this as far as what version the latest shot is vs the latest bug? Should i wait a bit for Bill Gates to update the shot since i've had covid recently?

I got original chip in June of 2021 and then got smacked with the bad strain in November 2021. Haven't had a chip or known infection since.

Did you ever get a real answer on why people who are still getting vaccinated are still getting the vid?  Are symptoms not as bad if you get the shot?  Also have there been tons of MAGA that have died from the vid that refused to get the shot and just hasn't been reported in the press yet?

Pretty sure it was widely reported that MAGAs were dropping left and right in 2021.

The vax made a huge difference in who lived and died during the Delta wave from the late summer of 2021 until Omicron came on the scene in late Feb 2022. With or without vaccine, most infections have caused a mild illness since Spring  2023.
