There’s some biotech company coming up that is apparently going to talk universal jab in the next 20 minutes. I’ll update if I’m not refilling my coffee or whatever when they come on.

This is a good point. During Delta, a lot of people didn't get tested or seek care (believing that Covid was not real or serious) until they had been sick for 7 - 14 days which is out of the range to get much benefit from current therapeutics.

afaik, neither my wife or i have ever been infected.

welp, gotta take both of us off the list.

so far, i just have a sore throat. my wife (probably infected first) has had slightly worse symptoms - fatigue, slight fever/chills, and excess mucus as well as a sore throat.

i haven't been paying attention, so i don't know if this a misleading take and the vaccination program is sure to be extended or if there is a genuine risk that it will be ended soon. if the latter, that is obviously completely unacceptable (oth, ending free testing doesn't seem like a big deal to me).

Two years ago, I was hopeful that the Covid crisis would might lead open the door for single-payer or Medicare-for-all in the US. Was stupid of me to think that we could salvage anything constructive out of this fire.
