Opportunity Missed . . . .

Amazing logo, would be complete dog crap on a helmet

It is, however, a blatant ripoff of the old Wisconsin Badger logo:

With a little old-timey Michgan Wolverine mixed in for good measure:

A different time and place... same guy designed A LOT of logos back then.

Regardless, Sailor Willie is my favorite throwback logo, but I’m down with Cats too.

Yeah, I'm in.  KK should approve though as he's the one that put in the final big money for that particular item.

Sailor Willie is fine.  But I agree with MIR that it would look horrible on a helmet/uniform.  If it is to ever be on a helmet it should just be the head and hat.

It still boggles my mind that dax and others think "cats" being simple is some kind of negative.  The simplicity of the design is why it looks so good on everything.  It's a lot like the powercat in that way.

I agree that full Sailor Willie on a helmet is too much.

I think script 'cats' would look pretty damn good on the front of a basketball jersey.

Oh my God. It absolutely would.

These are trying times for Wildcatland, but if Weird Robert has taught me one thing is that you can either be a Wildcat or a Jayhawk, you cannot be both. One must pick a side.

I choose the side of Cats. For this one game, at least.

(Honestly, would prefer to go back to Porky Morgan's Cats for basketball as well.)

And yet you keep lobbying for the sailor cat from your youth. I know you've got daxmentia, but shitloads of other schools used this logo too, so in a way I guess you would say it's rather generic. Here's yet another:

Btw I love all of these. They’re just super commonplace.
