What's with the raccoon, IPA? Does he have a name?
We just call him trash panda. His wife and kids stopped by the other day.

I kind of want a cat. Could I get one and it'll be cool from day one? Or is there a lot of training? Also possible I move after a year and have to give it up. Will it be heartbroken or be ok?

i once took a cat that lived outside for years, put it in the house with a litter box, and once you show them where it's at, she knew how to use it from day 1.  Leaving for a long weekend?  No worry, leave out some extra food and water.

They will claw the crap out of your furniture/carpet tho.

I've heard females will use a litter box immediately, but that's not the case with males.

Just get them declawed and chop off half their paw.

I would suggest rubbing its nose in all of the clawed up crap really hard before you cut half of its paw off. That way it knows it deserves it.

I know a guy who runs a cat ranch out in WKS and could hook you up with a primo grade A farm cat. Best part about getting a farm cat is when you get bored with it in 1 year you can just let it go back outside and wash your hands of it.

yeah, you're gonna want that farm cat with outdoor, real life, survival skills, and a nice frame that only eggs and whole milk can provide.
