One thing to consider, is that Allegiant's dirt cheap flights do draw in people from far outside the area... i took FrauGF to Phoenix last spring and we had alot of mouth breathers who drove over from southern Missouri to Wichita because the flight was so cheap.

Meh. for 200 bucks i can suffer for a couple hours.

They get you on luggage check-in tho

no they suck. we will just use the five American airlines daily flights a day and call it good.

i mean it really just makes no sense for anybody. hey we've got a town with a crap load of college students and young military people. where would they want to go? just where. would. they. want. to. go? vegas? nope. let's offer up the retirement capital of the world. good ol' phoenix. just an all around wtf. also, allegiant doesn't do connections and stuff and they aren't even flying into phx they are flying into aza. this will fail.

United Airlines will offer daily, nonstop flights between Topeka and Chicago starting Jan. 7 in an agreement announced Monday morning.

ExpressJet will operate 50-passenger flights with two departures and arrivals daily, seven days per week, at Topeka Regional Airport, the Metropolitan Topeka Airport Authority announced.

Service is made available with federal and state funds commonly used by small communities with little commercial service. Up to $1.95 million may be paid to the airline over two years.

Tickets are available for immediate purchase. Flights may be booked at www.united.com.
