If you think the two major partys are fringe wierdos, then I don't think the 3rd party slate full of actual fringe wierdos is what you're looking for.

You're probably right. So it won't help us in 2020 but the real question is how do we get the 2 major parties to nominate non fringe weirdos.  Any ideas?

Keep pounding that point away, after the 87th time you make it I'm sure you'll reach a consensus on it.

You're kidding right? We know he considers Ted Cruz and Beto O'Rourke "fringe weirdos" they ran for president in the last two elections. Safe to say John Cornyn fits in the same category given he's the definition of a DC insider. I don't know anything about David Alameel, but it's safe to assume that he aligns closely with one of the roughly 7000 Democratic candidates in this election.

Frankly, 33 sounds exactly like a "reluctant" Trump voter in 16. Shake things up! He's a successful businessman, not a politician! He couldn't be any worse than what we've had, right?!?

I voted for that Mormon guy Evan*.  I didn't ever consider voting for Trump because I thought he was an immature dumbass who would divide an already divided country even further.

There are lots of Republicans that don't want to vote for Trump and may vote for Bloomberg if given the option. There are lots of Democrats that don't want to vote for Bernie and may vote for Bloomberg if given the option.

Bloomberg would have a decent shot of getting the most votes a third party candidate has ever gotten. Really in the current system the only way to do it is to be a multi billionaire. If he were actually likeable I’d say he has a shot to win it, but I don’t think he does.

Not a chance. Ross Perot got 19% of the vote in '92 and received almost 20 million votes.

I think Bloomberg would have a better shot as an independent if he would have stayed out of the democratic primary.

Seriously tho, before I answer your question I need to know: if you absolutely had to - like gun to your favorite dog’s head - choose between Trump and Sanders/Bloomberg, who would you choose?
I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.

Why is that not doable? Bloomberg as an independent could very much make this look like a similar 3 party race with funding not being a problem. He could even use being excluded from debates as fuel for more ads.

The same issues that dog Bloomberg as a Democrat would dog him as an independent. As much as the moderates on this board keep trying to tell us that's what America craves, the last two primary cycles indicate otherwise. Not only that, but he's either seen as a center left candidate that's a billionaire oligarch who's a racist and sexist or a center right candidate who is a nanny stater who thinks the government should tell people what to eat and drink and will impose every governmental regulation you could ever think of. He is an environmentalist who got rich off of a media empire.

A side note but I'm 100% a never bloomer. If he gets the nomination, I'm voting for Howie Hawkins.

Yeah there is no way he gets even 13%. How about that bet?

Well maybe you just said he had a chance to win Utah.  But then some other guy said he had 'a path' to the presidency.
