Beard recruitrd grad transfers to make an elite eihjt team better while Oscar basucally stood pat.

This.

Yeah, it's too bad oscar wasted all of those scholarships he had to give last spring.

Some of you can be real dipshits.

Such as a dipshit who thinks Love and Shadd contributed to this year's team. Oscar had the chance to improve an elite 8 team and either couldn't or choose not to.

somewhat subjective hot take:  this year's team was better than last year's team.  the elite eight/first round loss does not quantify the quality of either team

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Wait, you think it would have been a good idea to dump our entire big man depth, two freshmen who played a combined 8 games, to take a chance on potentially getting a grad transfer? You know it's not PlayStation right? The roster has to be managed.

You seem to be making a statement on the perceived quality of the depth, I was not. At this time, a year ago, neither you or the coaches had enough information to determine whether or not those two players you mentioned needed to be run off. Again, it's not PlayStation coaches don't have the luxury of running off freshman big men because they aren't starting as freshmen.

Keep making excuses but it was obvious a year ago those two stiffs were not good enough to contribute. If as you say the coaches were not aware of that, it is a revealing indictment of their talent evaluation skills. The grad transfer system presented staff the opportunity to improve the team's talent level with little risk.  Many teams that had success in the tournament took advantage of that opportunity. I can't think of one grad transfer Oscar has signed. He is behind the times and he. needs adjust.

Man, I wonder why they brought in one of the top JUCO bigs then. Hmm. Who had offers from OU, Syracuse, Illinois, etc. Stop acting like they didn't do crap to help, Jesus. Trice just hasn't transitioned into D1 bball like many others thought he would at this point.

You're obtuse.  I'm going to use that instead of stupid, hard headed, dumbfuck. James Love missed the entire 2017-18 season with an injury, one he incurred before the season started. Nigel Shadd got injured 7 games into the year and received a medical hardship. How in the eff was it obvious that they weren't good enough to contribute given they were both medically unable to play until this fall? I can't wait to see what stupid crap you post next, instead of, oh I didn't know that, sorry for talking out of my ass.

Bottom line is they both suck as D1 talent although they are probably swell people. They sucked when they were recruited and they will suck when thhey leave the program, which should have been a year ago and now will hopefully be in May. Love was a rough riding project like a couple other rogh raiding project bigs Oscar brought who did not stick. There was no reason to keep him around when there was an opportunity to bring in someone who could help the team.  Obtuse is thinking there was any potential upside there.

I don't have a rooting interest here. Normally, I'd root for the underdog against the 1 seed. But Virginia never wins crap, so I don't even care about that.

What a horrible way to lose.  It would be so much better if he just hit the three.

Virginia dude double dribbled and got away with it.  Still not a fan of fouling intentionally there.
