Is there an example of this white house doing one thing that doesn't end up in an investigation or breach of normal protocols?  This is an honest question.

Fighting opioid addiction probably fits that description.

I bet Mueller's team and the SDNY team hate this. Congress is just going to run a concurrent investigation in public?

I'm sure they'll coordinate on what can be made public.

Might be some overlap, but it’s clearly covering stuff that Mueller’s team is not.

I mean, I thought for a long time that the MAGA talking points about Mueller taking too long were dumb. It’s starting to feel like even if he has this great, no doubt case about Donald Trump using the Russians to steal an election, it will come out just in time for his term to be over. Yay for justice, but WGAF? Damage is already done. Congress might as well investigate him too in the meantime. They might get done first.
:adios:

One aspect about all of this that I find fascinating is the question of what it takes to knock down someone in a super powerful position. I think you need to throw everything you can at them. And given that it is a politician, that includes doing what you can to influence public opinion.

You would think they would be a little more careful if congress does get someone to dish, but the potential to Oliver North this up is probably too much to resist in order to make their point.

The Dems have planted their flag on the high road. Fair or not, they will be judged in relation to that. Petty, bickering bullshit is not a winning strategy for them, imo. That's Trump's home court.

They probably figured out that taking the high road is a really dumb strategy for a political party. No matter what you’re gonna end up with way too many POS people who ruin the narrative.
