OK. Curious.

judging by what else was around it, i'm assuming the "nudity" part was looked at, but all the Nazi scat/sodomy/murder stuff was glossed over?  i'm honestly kinda surprised i was able to have this film delivered to my suburban US home.

kinda concerning :frown:

World war Z.  Nothing like the book at all.  Almost like a quick prequel/ in-depth alternative first chapter.  Was really good though.

12 Years a Slave.

One of the best movies I've ever seen and I never want to see it again.

I did not find world war z to be good at all.  Oh man everywhere I go it's a rough ridin' immediate race from danger collapse of civilization right when I get there and then I just get out by the skin of my noots.  Fhewf!  rough ridin' crap.  I'm sorry CNS.  Awful.  Boo.

odd thomas - based on a dean koontz book i guess?  it was alright for a low budget film.  kind of a kick-ass vibe too it, but not nearly as great.

margaret - weird movie... some really good parts, but lots and lots of filler.  very strange.

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy

... good grief, how many bad ass British actors can you fit into one movie? outstanding cast. also i don't think i've ever concentrated that hard on a movie before. i recommend pausing and glancing at the wikipedia plot summary whenever you get lost, because you will get lost if you watch it. loved it though, made me think/guess, which i enjoy.

I thought it was a kind of fun zombie-action movie.  No more, no less.

It was the same rough ridin' scene over and over again.  Terrible.

Just seriously rewatched Basterds and I can say confidently that it is Tarantino's best by a decent margin.

Desolation of Smaug was very fun. It's no LOTR: The Two Towers or even "very good" but it's fun, much better than the first Hobbit installment.

I think the fact that they changed history confused a lot of people and they didn't know how to take it, but after dwelling on it for a bit people have learned to like it. I think it was Mr. Bread who pointed out how much tension Christoph Waltz creates even though he's smiling and seemingly being a nice guy throughout the first scene. It's so outstanding.

It absolutely does tension better than any other movie I can think of.

Impeccably acted top to bottom. No distracting comedic interlude or dogshit cameo.

Just watched "Shame". Eehhh.....it was slightly overrated. It had some amazing scenes but I don't feel the sum was greater than it's parts. But the fact that it was Steve McQueen's second full length film makes me overly excited to see what he has in store in the future, and I absolutely can not wait to see "12 Years A Slave".

Shame is one of the best movies of the last 10 years, and I watch it at least once a month.  Maybe the best score ever.
