Kicking around watching The Purge tonight.  Any good?  Also, if you are going to rate it, please do so on the Horror movie curve.

Dead Alive is hysterical. Peter Jackson and a giant mom thing and the most fake blood ever used in a scene (apparently). Def put it in your 7

I think it was at the time, but the new Evil Dead broke that record.

Yeah that is probably right. Evil Dead went all Slayer circa 1986 at the end

Halloween (original)
The House of the Devil
Nightmare on Elm Street (original)
Texas Chainsaw Massacre (original)
The Shining
The Thing (original)
The Omen (new one is actually not awful)
The Amityville Horror (new one is actually not awful)
Cabin in the Woods
House of 1000 Corpses or whatever Rob Zombie flick you want to do.

Any 7 of those would be a good selection.

Gravity 3D lived up to the hype.   Such an immersive experience.   Probably won't translate well on the home screen though.

I also got around to seeing Gravity 3D over the weekend.  What an experience....the visuals were stunning and for me the movie ended up being more emotional than I would ever have anticipated.  The filly I took was crying at the end.  I had to sit there for a couple of minutes while the credits rolled just to let my emotions reset.

I recently watched World War Z and Django. I enjoyed both of them. If you are living under a rock and have not watched these movies, I would suggest they are not a waste of time. Django would be my first choice by a considerable margin if you only watch one.

I watched dead silence which I thought would be dumb but would scare me because I rough ridin' hate ventriloquist dummys but it was actually a pretty rough ridin' good movie regardless.
The woman in black was pretty suspenseful the ending was weak though.
Conjuring as previously mentioned was a pretty great flick

I love the Child's Play series (at least the first two). It's not scary, the sets and ways he kills people have an amazing.......style to them. Probably the most fun horror movie I've seen that's not a parody.

I've thought for years I was the only person in the world that liked that movie. Glad to have you aboard, puni. Also, great cameo from Fanning in it!

Prob do original texas chainsaw tonight.  Cabin in the woods is more fun than scary, imo, so I may keep that as a "cool down" movie between really scary ones.  I feel like a DJamer working on a playlist.

My wife won't watch most traditional horror movies, which really bums me out this time of year.  But, we both loved cabin in the woods....though, it's a genre breaker.

That one should be on everyone's list.

Yeah but the first one is so good.

Leatherface is probably my favorite villain of any horror movie. The guy in the wheelchair is so damn annoying though.
