Went to go see this - think it plays in kansas city in august. One of the most mind-bending things I've seen in a long time. Theatre was silent at the end.

I saw Pacific Rim and World War Z this past week while I was still out of work.  Both were good.  Pacific Rim was better.  Kind of hoping they do a sequel.

what's the sequel? now that earth doesn't have to worry about these Alien's anymore, countries use the Robots to fight their wars for them? or is it a prequel where the Alien's mess up their calculations a bunch and accidentally send monsters the sizes of hamsters to other planets?

Hey, spoiler alert much?

I went to see The Wolverine yesterday.  Not bad.  I had fun and it was a pretty decent flick.  Much better than any X-Men movie and it put the first Wolverine movie to shame.  X-men first class was pretty decent though.  Anyhoo, make sure to stay through some of the credits for the typical "bonus marvel hyping next movie that should be better than the one you just saw scene."

Also, I watched The Room on Saturday with the KSUBlumpkin gf.  I can confirm that this movie is still terribly bad but funny for reasons I can't explain.

Sorry. I should have been more courteous. But really, you aren't in that movie for the plot. Maybe you are? IDK, i should have given a warning. Won't happen again.

Apparantly the likelihood of a sequel depends on China. We'll just have to wait and see.    :crossfingers:

I WATCHED A MOVIE THIS MORNING.  MAGIC MIKE.  PRETTY GOOD FLICK.   :raccoon: :raccoon: :raccoon:

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

I would recommend any documentary made by Ken Burns.

The Dust Bowl
Prohibition

Just watched both, they were fantastic.

yeah, it was very well done.  Not enough attention was made to the ineptitude of the police in that scenario but I don't think that was the point.

And the defense lawyer's beard

loved his beard.  i think they did a good job of highlighting the police's actions/inaction.  they certainly can't place blame on the police for what happened but did point out the timeline and how the police chose to handle the situ.
