That's just about the opposite feeling I had of The Silver Lining Playbook. At the beginning/middle I was just enjoying the good acting. But when all was said and done, I thought it was a pretty good movie. The dialog was super weird though. It reminded me out "It's Always Sunny". Maybe that's just how they talk in Philly?

Just watched this today and I agree. Seemed like I already knew exactly what was coming, maybe too much hype? Great acting though, Lawrence's character is even more odd than Cooper's. Surprising.

Still an enjoyable movie to watch, not good enough to add to the ol' collection though

Pulp Fiction is a definite winner. One of my favorites. I'll never get tired of it. Samuel L. Jackson is simply superb, and Travolta is pretty good, too.

Didn't give the plot or storyline away...just gave a couple of reasons to check it out. You'll like it.  :)

Oblivion was pretty good.

Also, watched Django. It was ok. Toward the middle it was a little slow.

Jack Reacher. Pretty fuckin predictable.

my dad is pretty :cyclist: about this movie. hates that tim cruise is reacher, mostly, but also just that it was made into a movie.
interesting.  our mutual topeka friend, the judge, said basically the exact same thing.

im actually in the process of reading the book (havent seen the movie) but i can tell you right off the bat that time cruise, who is like 5'-8" tops, should not have played reacher, who is vividly described as like 6'5" and built. maybe dwayne "the rock" johnson and vin diesel were booked?

I've read all the books.  I only watched the movie because I was in Orlando for business and bored, and it was the last movie starting.     It was better than expected, but I still have a very hard time with Cruise as Reacher.   Reacher is written as 6'5".

If reading books is killing your enjoyment of movies, I suggest you quit reading books. You're welcome.

I would recommend City of God and Pan's Labyrinth.  Solid Flicks.  I would also recommend removing Spanglish and replacing it with Snatch.  You will thank me later.
