the money pit, 1986, tom hanks, shelly long

such a classic movie.  they sure don't make them like they used to.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Haven't watched many movies lately. Getting my eyes ready for a steady dose of March Madness. Gotta have the eyes sharp.

hated that movie.  cast away?  more like vacation for the rest of your life in paradise.
pro tip to movie script writers:  if you can't get the name right, just don't write the rest of the movie, dumbass.

the hobbit was great.  granted my expectations were low but I thought it held up to fellowship of the ring.

Primer-  streamed this on Netflix because of the reviews. Very low budget, good dialog.  Movie is about time travel and is a total mind F. Pretty good.

The Hobbit-  surprised I didn't see it sooner. Really liked it.

Literally came here to also post about Primer of all moves. Very confusing but you sort of get that vibe that you just have to run with it anyway -- "realistic" time travel. But the acting and what seemed like the dubbing over of lines due to low-budget microphones(?) was sorta annoying. Worth watching for the concept. THEN READ THIS: http://qntm.org/primer

That reminds me of Prime. Pretty average romcom, but I just really really enjoy watching Uma in non-Kill Bill type roles. Also Streep is Streep. I enjoyed it.

I'm glad it was not long. A lot is left up to interpretation because of the editing. Tried to figure it out last night as well but didn't have the energy.

Wow.  I've watched a LOT of movies this week.  In chronological viewing order:

Chasing Mavericks:  YUCK!  Gerard, get it together, man.

Pride and Prejudice: Actually, decent.  Never read the book.

Tron Legacy:  COOL!  Never saw the original. Kind of want to now though.

Perks of Being a Wallflower:  To reiterate what most in this thread have said about the movie, it really is great.  I liked the movie much more than the book.  Teared up a few times.  What a kid.

The Master:  I really liked it.  Two great actors doing their thing.  Story seemed a little convoluted, but i think it did a good job of capturing that post-WWII era.  Joaquin's character was a really good character.  Real shithead, but i liked him.

Silver Linings Playbook:  Pretty good.  Don't know how it won best picture, but it was pretty good.  I enjoyed it.

Life of Pi: Liked the book more.  The visuals were cool, but the book devoted so much time to interesting religious concepts that the movie just didn't have time for, and i couldn't help but think about how it was missing that aspect.  I bet i would've liked it more had i not read the book.

Hit and Run

...ya know what? surprisingly enjoyable. naturally i was dubious given the cast of dax shepherd and "forgetting" sarah marshall, but i liked them. was funny, bradley cooper has reached the status imho where he is always good. i even didn't hate tom arnold's character.
