I need to come in here more often. Most of u are huge dumbasses w/ your movie choices.

What type of movie do you usually take a filly to for a first date, fanning? One time in college I took a filly to Star Wars. LOL, there was no second date (mutual, of course).
Romantic comedy. You can never go wrong on a date if the movie has R Gos or Emma Stone in it. It makes the girl want to spring for romance even more. :gocho:

I am watching Fahrenheit 9/11 and just had a realization that I saw this movie in MHK with Marcus Hayden.

Silver Linings Playbook - better than your average rom com. I liked the take on people who are just a little bit off. Both of the characters were very original, which is hard to do when you're trying to make them "crazy". I feel like a lot of times when they have "crazy" characters who the viewer is supposed to relate to, they just make them normal but have everyone else in the movie treat them as if they were crazy, even though there's really no reason to. They balanced the line of making them relatable, yet actually a little bit off. There was one thing about the movie that really pissed me off that I'm not going to excuse which is more of a spoiler: I thought it was cheap to have the cops show up every time Bradley Cooper did something wrong. That dude with the moustache showed up within 30 seconds of him acting up, every single time. What's he, always on duty? Does he always follow Bradley Cooper around every where he goes? That was obnoxious.

Yeah, annoying scenes w/ the cop, but a great movie all around.

Safe Haven - Julianne Hough was of course great looking and actually did a pretty decent job acting.  It's a full on Romantic Drama, not much Comedy to be had.  Was better than expected,  Basically if you get dragged into seeing it you wont be bored to death or hate yourself.  BR's gf loved it, she put it one step below the notebook, which I havent seen, and from what I know is basically the pinnacle of chick flicks.

My rec is to send a group of girls to see it while you  with guys over a cats game Saturday.

Perks of Being a Wallflower

Really good. One of my favorite movies in a long time. The other posters in this thread were right. The characters were all great. Ezra Miller was really good. It's definitely not a feel-good, but it makes you feel lots of other things.

Everyone who I've talked to pretty much hated Blue Valentine, but I thought it was brilliant. It was very raw, especially considering it wasn't too gritty of material. I thought the flaws that each of the characters in the relationship had were perfect for the story. They were something you would go into a relationship thinking you could get over, but something that added up over 5-6 years to just be unbearable. I thought the fights were great because you could see each side's argument and see why they were so pissed and beyond salvageable. Also, their daughter was perfect for the film. Her naivety to everything going on was perfect for a 5 year old.

I think you'd have to be a total douche bag to not like "Perks of Being a Wallflower".

Rewatched Air Force One.  That movie is quite entertaining.  Harrison Ford is a treasure

I watched the new Die Hard flick on Sunday.  The movie was okay (good, not great) but ultimately forgettable.  Although, seeing a dude liquified by a helicopter blade was a plus (but that already happened in another oscar Willis flick called "The Last Boy Scout").

I also finally saw Flight and Perks of Being a Wallflower.  Flight was good (first five minutes had boobs/bush which was a plus) and I enjoyed it.  Perks of Being a Wallflower was suprisingly good.  They Psychology behind it was incorrect, but eff it.  Watching a bunch of emo kids be emo was worst the 1 dollar I paid at RedBox.

Confirmed.  This flick was great.  The same dude that did In Bruges did this flick.  Both movies are fantastic.

7 psychopaths was extremely disappointing for me, given how much I enjoy In Bruges.
I guess I was not expecting such a surreal, unsatisfying plot. Probably would enjoy it more upon a second viewing.

I watched Total Recall (2012) and it was pretty good, although it seems like they could have done a lot more f'ing with his head than they did. I haven't seen the original one, so can't compare.

I love Sam Rockwell long time, so I really enjoyed it.  Classic Rockwell.

The Hammer is good.

Also, I rewatched Boogie Nights this weekend.  I hadn't watched it in 10 years.  John C. Reilly's ability to play that character is underappreciated.

I told you. I mean seriously why did anybody say this was funny? The only part I lol'd was when he named all those girl names, but even then it was kind of forced because I just needed to laugh because I hadn't laughed yet and it was about halfway through the movie already.
