Silver Linings Playbook was fantastic.

this is probably what i'm going to watch next.

previews look stupid dumb, but has gotten rave reviews.  i'm assuming just terrible marketing.

It is nothing at all like the previews.

Looper. Pretty "meh".

I enjoyed it, and it was tied together very well in the end, but I guess I was just expecting a little more. Everyone told me how great it was and I just didn't feel like it was great.

So true. Very great comparison, ChiCat.

I'd have to watch both for a second time to have a real opinion on it.  In hindsight, they are about even to me.  They certainly aren't bad or anything but I think my two favorite directors and one of my favorite actors in Joseph Gordon Levitt got my hopes really high on both.

Inception still doesn't make sense. Nobody who likes it can explain it to me. "We have to go deeper". Why? What does that accomplish? If it wasn't for the last 10 seconds, no one would have remembered it.

SPOILER: Looper was fun, it did a lot of things well. But like a lot of time travel movies, it didn't account for one huge flaw. oscar Willis would have never gone back if there was no Rainmaker. Since oscar Willis went back, there is no Rainmaker. So the entire premise is based on the makes of the movie praying that the viewers don't notice that.

And the Avengers was awful. Don't get me started on all the flaws in that movie. Okay, I'll give you the funniest one. "I can't control when I turn into The Hulk. It's whenever I get angry" - The Hulk. "I learned how to control it. I'm always angry" - The Hulk, 5 minutes later.

I like both, but probably like Inception more, purely because I saw it in theaters.  Also I think time travel has been done much better in movies than Looper. At least Inception's strange sci-fi concept that doesn't really make sense hasn't been beaten to death by Hollywood already.

Watching movies that everyone says are "the greatest" usually ends up being disappointing.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Avengers was not good. Every single character was so shallow. They were the most extreme versions of themselves. So boring.

I liked Inception better than Looper. I would give that one a 8.5 and Looper a 7.

Saw Dredd.  Liked it.  Zero character background or development though.  Would have been nice to throw in a little backstory at least.  Nothing.  Just give me like ten minutes explaining what Dredd's deal is and how he became what he is and then get to killing folks.
