I've seen it a million times but I love everything about Tinker Taylor Soldier Spy.

One of my alltime favs.

So, mocat gf made me watch all the Harry Potters. I have always avoided the books and movies for whatever reason. But oh man honestly once you get past the first 1 or 2 movies, they are pretty freaking awesome. No lie.

Yeah, the HP books may be geared towards people a bit younger than yourself, but they are really good and they are quick, easy reads.  Highly recommended by 8mp.

I didn't read the books, but the mrs explained them to me in such exquisite detail that I still could watch the movies and be like "thats not like the book".

The only thing I didn't like in the HP movies is the minor antagonists like Harry's aunt and uncle or whatever and Draco have like zero motivation to be so horrible to Harry. I hate it in movies when the antagonists are super mean and evil for no reason. Like, I can believe in a magical school for wizards and witches, no problem. But I lose my suspension of disbelief when people are super mean for no reason.

I also dont understand why after saving the world a couple times, why isnt he trusted to do what he needs to. Every time he and his pals get in trouble for trying to save the world and no one believes him even though he has done it every year.

harry's aunt and uncle hate him because they are racist toward wizardry, and Draco hates him because his family loved Voldemort. come on.

Haters hate you two.  Haters are more real than mudbloods or mucklebones.  No suspension of disbelief necessary.  Couple of ewoks rasslin around over here.

Ok Mr Hotshot, if they are so racist towards wizardry, why don't they just freaking let harry go to Hogwarts so that he would be out of their house? Like they can't stand Harry around the house, but they don't want him to go to Hogwarts either? Stupid.

If Draco's family has a problem with Harry's family, how does that mean Draco is so mean and Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) all the time? People usually just avoid people they don't like.

by the 3rd die hard john mcclane has free reign to shoot or blow up just about anything he wanted too. harry still gets in-school suspension every time he tries to look in a chest or an old book without permisson.

this is explained in the book, noob. he goes to hogwarts during school, but while school isn't in session, he has to be at his aunt and uncle's because when he is in the home of family, he can't be harmed by evil people because of some magical spell crap. next.

This seems like some one-line-of-dialogue-in-the-book excuse J.K. came up with when people had the same problem with the aunt and uncle that I do.

"Why are they so mean? Why don't they just send him away?"
"Oh, well, uh, he has to be there because he can't be harmed by evil there because of this spell"

Just read the books mocat. It makes sense when there is more detail.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

 :star: :star: :raccoon:

It was long. But the action scenes were good and plentiful. The didn't love any of the characters like I did in the LOTR series.

Yeah, tha HP books may be geared towardz gangstas a funky-ass bit lil'er than yo ass yo, but they is straight-up phat n' they is quick, easy as eff reads.  Highly recommended by 8mp.

Although the screaming fights are painful for me to watch.  I don't like it when people interact that way.
