TWBB was fine and DDL was really good in it.

I just think his portrayal of Lincoln was better. He's just really good, this would be his 3rd Oscar.

I saw Django and it was quite good, typical QT film.  However, I was surrounded by black people and sometimes felt guilty when laughing at some of the stuff, but couldn't resist.

Impossible. The fact that DDL did such an amazing job in There Will Be Blood with so little dialogue is unheard of. He did it all through facial expressions and demeanor, yet clearly conveyed his character.

high school dub dub did not enjoy TWBB. lack of dialogue may be why.

I didn't like it in high school either. Loved it when I watched it after college. Much like my relationship with The Great Gatsby.

I also have a far better appreciation for Gatsby than I did when I was 16. I'm pretty pumped for the new movie starring Leo.

Django Unchained was better than I even imagined. Loved the stereotypical Western movie feel that it had, just seemed so out of place since it was a black guy as the "cowboy". I thought it was more like the Kill Bill series than it was like Inglorious Basterds, despite it being more historical like IB was. Honestly can't praise this movie enough.

It's been said already, but I left the theater thinking Christoph Waltz was 100% put on this earth to perform as QT characters.

This is the funniest QT movie so far imo.

Django and Les Miserables both delivered. Django Unchained was the best movie I've seen in quite some time and I would probably have to say it's my favorite Tarantino flick. I would say that Samuel L Jackson should win best supporting actor for his role, but I'm a little bit conflicted as to whether or not he was better than Leo. Great acting all the way around in that movie.

Samuel L Jackson was solid, but he wasn't asked to do what Leo was asked to do. Leo's role was much tougher than Jackson's.

Not that I think this should be taken into account when people vote for awards, but did you know Leo legitimately cut his hand? He wasn't scripted to do it or anything, just got carried away and broke a glass, then cut his hand on a shard. Didn't break stride, just kept acting and the cameranmen just kept rolling. They used the first take of that scene in the movie, and he had to get stitches right afterward.

i love in the movie when he does it and he immediately looks at his hand and has a "wtf" look and then kind of head shakes and goes back to the scene.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

I watched Fast times at Ridgemont high for the first time ever today, really liked it and I'm generally not a fan of many 80's movies.

OMG, you didn't see this before? You've missed, until now, Sean Penn's epic performance as Spicoli. Some of his best work ever and, I suspect, somewhat reflective of his life. Also, many think that Phoebe's swimming pool scene was incredibly erotic. I found it to be nothing more than a babe taking her bra off. Nothing more, nothing less.

That's what Phoebe thought. Then her career went to the toilet.
