i spent all day at work today reading this entire thread. i wouldn't have spent it any other way. i'd just like to touch quickly on my most memorable movie viewings of this past semester or two.

i loved: midnight in paris, hugo, crazy stupid love, the hunger games, my week with marilyn, 50/50
i hated and just want to forget: the vow, twilight: breaking dawn (just the worst)

also, i had very low expectations for 'in time', but found myself surprisingly intrigued the entire way through. i thought the concept was awesome, and yes maybe they could've done a little more with it, but overall i was pleased.

i saw 'another earth' and really liked it. another movie with a fantastic concept. at first i hated the ending, but then after a lot of deep thought, i just loved it. after my introspection, the ending felt so right.

and finally, poet warrior, i have indeed seen 'spirit of the beehive', it was probably about 3 years ago. thought you might enjoy that a third person on the board has seen it. the symbolism of the film is just wonderful--a very haunting story connecting to a horrible period in spain's history. however, as far as enjoyability and entertainment value, that movie's completely awful.

TL;DR
I think what my friend Mitch is trying to say is that true love is blind.

I watched the Avengers on my MSP-SFO flight yesterday. Wish their was more Iron man. Also lol @ Scarlett Johansen with those goddam pistols fighting the aliens. I mean who let this clown into the avengers? Mark Ruffalo was pretty good, too. Also, it's a tad violent for a flight (because of kids) but I didn't mind.

Just saw "Bernie."  well made movie.  very .  film dorks will love it.  again, very
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

PW, have you ever seen "Knowing" (2009) with Nic Cage?

God Bless America
 :star:  :raccoon: :raccoon:

Pretty good.  Had a few too many scenes where you could tell the director really wanted to get some point across and it wasn't natural at all.  Probably Joel Murray's best movie.  Fairly entertaining throughout.

Saw lawless tonight, it was alright.   Maybe 7/10.  Kinda slow at times. Tom hardy is quickly becoming one of my favorite actors though.

i watched a movie in my dream last night, thought about posting the name of it in this thread, and then realized, while still in my dream, that it wasn't a real movie and i was dreaming.

does this belong in last night's dream thread, or recent motion picture viewing thread?

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.
