Watched Slither over the w/e. If you are into 80's style horror shows, it was awesome, even though it really sucked.

Saw "Moonrise Kingdom" last night.  It was delightful.  A little bizarre in a "typical Bill Murray movie" kind of way, but otherwise very enjoyable and fun.  Anybody else see it yet?

wanderlust- overall not very good, but it had a couple of moments that actually really made me laugh which is somewhat rare for movies and even movies that are supposed to be comedies. paul rudd in the mirror was very lol.

Sometimes I ask myself what is the best action movie: Die Hard or Predator.

Would love to get PW's thoughts.

Is it all it's cracked up to be?  Usually I follow Rotten Tomatoes (public, not critics) and they are usually on and they gave it good ratings.

Maybe I just keep thinking it's going to be like Super 8.

No, hopefully this isn't a spoiler because it was shown in the preview, but it shows someone struggling with what to do with super powers. And learning how to use them and stuff. I think both of these things are really interesting and haven't been touched on by very many movies.

This question isn't for me. I don't have strong positive thoughts towards either. Had you asked, "Cobra or Kickboxer"...more difficult question.

Sorry, man.

If you have the time.
I had time today, and I went to see it with one of my good friends, Jakesie60 (not actually his name in real life).

That period of time where the two leads had exactly what they wanted really stuck with me.  What an era.  I bet the adult versions of themselves look back on that time fondly.  Good job, Wes!

Chronicle or Safe House?

Chronicle. Greanted, I haven't seen Safe House.

Safe House is very meh. I couldn't really get into it, and there are a few obvious plot twists that made the climax pretty boring.

Oh, you know, that movie where no one likes Denzel Washington but he turns out to be morally sound and awesome?

I watched Moonrise Kingdom with Stevesie the other day.

We were talking after the movie ended, and I told him that I really like how the kids speak so matter of factly and sternly and in the manner adults would speak, but most of what they say is childish and cute.  I really liked it.  Edward Norton was pretty funny in a Wes Anderson way.  Like PW said, go see it if you have time.

I also watched Stranger than Fiction.

I liked it.  I didn't know that Dustin Hoffman was in it.  I love Dustin Hoffman - especially in Hook!

Agreed, ksufitz.  I thought it was hackneyed garbage.
