this looks like something that i might be interested in. how was it?

Prometheus viewers: Saw this the other day and found it pretty interesting. Don't know if I 100% agree with all of the analysis, but it is pretty on point from what I can tell...

The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia

 :raccoon: :raccoon: :raccoon: :raccoon: :raccoon:

It is on netflix streaming.  Consider this your primer on Coal Aggie.

Highlight of the film:  "Wanna hear the Boone county mating call?"

We need to talk about kevin --  it was a good story, and the kid was a real bad person, but I cant stand the large amount of close up but slightly out of focus shakey shots.

Been watching a lot of the Louis Theroux hour-long documentaries on youtube.

They're great.

a couple saturdays ago i watched a few of them accidently and lost a gigantic chunk of time.  well worth it IMHO.

the phelps ones are so interesting.  i live like 5 blocks away from their camp, and always wondered what it looked like inside.  and that megan phelps.... highly attracted to her in a "i would love to hate eff her" sort of way.

Oh yeah.  The phelps one definitely.  I know what you're talking about when you say they can really suck you in.

Last night, I couldn't sleep and watched both Phelps ones, one about white-supremacists in california, one about a prison, and one about las vegas high rollers.

He's great.

Man on Wire

Very great.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

i've seen more movies in the last week than i have in the last six months...

so we bought a zoo or whatever with matt damon- liked it. not great at all, but you got what you wanted out of it more/less if that was what you wanted. do you want it? idk. i did. enjoyable.

the grey- i mean really pretty good. really liked the last half. somewhat bored w/ the first, but one was needed for the other. the ending oh man. great last 20 min.

prometheus- saw this in 3d imax. that made it great. would it have been even good at seth childs cinema in the reg vision. idk. idk.

21 jumpstreet- very enjoyable. would prob never watch again, but i enjoyed it. again...if that's what you're looking for.

jeff who lives at home- really liked it. it'd prob be the movie i'd make if i was talented and could make movies. i'm not.

Anyone seen Moonrise Kingdom?  i'm pretty sure I'll love it, but not sure if it will be enhanced by the theater.  I'm thinking that it probably won't and I might as well see something that is made cooler by the big screen.

Can anyone confirm or deny?

Going to be taking a Rick reccomendo tonight...deciding between The Grey and Jeff Who Lives At Home.  Seemingly vary different movies, yet I am deciding between them.

Also, I like 21 Jump Street as well.  Gratuitous, but fun.

Brave was good, because it was well made, but the story was just sort of simpleton and silly.

I prefer to watch his movies at home, for obvious reasons.

21 Jump Street. Pretty good. Probably wouldn't watch again. Tatum was surprisingly funny.

Contraband. Pretty good. Would watch again.

Regarding Rick's comments on The Grey, he doesn't mention that you may not like the ending.

Watched this tonight, also.

I thought it was really, really funny.  Had a lot of fun watching it with my friend.

I saw Ted last night.  It was just what you would expect.  I enjoyed it, and laughed really really hard at the Lou Gehrig's disease line.

All motion pictures should be seen on a big screen with good sound. It helps them. Some have big screens in their homes, with good sound.

There are a lot of visual details in the motion pictures of Moonrise Kingdom that would not be seen, at all, on a small screen.
