I wasn't talking about movies.

"Dude, Where's My Car?" was horrible.  I think that movie and Hangover would've been funnier with less absurdity and more realistic crazy crap that happens during blackouts.

Watched the 7th Seal recently at a local theatre. damn.

Did you find it old, corny, and without power?

no, the theatre seemed to have a pretty nice set up and a decent power connection.

Good news. Art-theaters are usually substandard when it comes to vision and sound.

Was it projected from a film print or the Criterion Blu-Ray?

I want to see the new woody allen movie.  I like woody allen even though most of his movies suck recently.

Saw 'something borrowed' with the wife. Not bad for a chick flick.

The dude from the office seems like his voice is a higher pitch or something, very distracting.

Speaking of chick-flicks, "Bridesmaids,"
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Was 'forced' to go see this yesterday.  Was pleasantly surprised.  It had a couple of moments...
Fifteen minutes later, when the Kansas locker room opened its doors to the media, the Jayhawks were still crying. Literally, bawling. All of them. I've never seen anything like it, and I've seen devastated college locker rooms -- after losses in the Final Four, the national championship game -- ever

She's excellent.  It's amazing how a top-shelf performer can take this "cookie-cutter" type role to another level.

i can't say for sure. It looked pretty crisp though, so i'm imagining it was the crit. I didn't even really think to check this out.

May have already been discussed earlier in this thread but I just watched The Kings Speech.

My god Colin Firth's character and Bill Self are dopplegangers, right down to the stammering.

Also watched the Scarlet Pimpernel (1934), it was pretty good.  When he is in fop mode he's hilarious.  Loved the triangle looking glass bit.

The thing in his hand.

I saw Bridesmaids.  It had more emotional stuff in it than what I was led to believe.  Would call it a watchable chick flic, but do  NOT make the same mistake I made and think it's going to be a chick version of Hangover.  Not accurate.

Watched Black Swan recently. Who masterbates like that? Sexually-repressed, infantilized Ballerinas, that's who.

Recently saw the documentary Forks Over Knives which focused heavily on the negative consequences on societies that have been introduced into the western diet as well as the health benefits of switching off it. Was informative but a little heavy handed. Think its playing in KC this week or next.

Agreed. I probably laughed just as much as I did during the first one, but the first one was such a new concept that it was special. Since the idea isn't new anymore, it doesn't seem as good as a movie.

Also,
it was pretty obvious that the entire movie was written just to expand Allen's character. The cool thing about the first one is that they left you begging for more. This one gives you way too much and then some.
