Fell asleep to The Omen (1976) last night.  Didn't get very far but it didn't seem good

So I think ‘Kill Bill’ is the movie I was born to make, I think ‘Inglourious Basterds’ is my masterpiece, but ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ is my favorite.

Homeboy didn't even mention Pulp Fiction, how can take his answer seriously? Clearly IB is doing horribly on streaming services and he's trying to promote it.

Need to rewatch Jackie Brown to confirm but yes, I think so too. Granted, it may have the funniest Tarantino scene.

Django is the best one since Basterds, which was the best one since Pulp. QT's cameo in Django does give me pause, mind you. Nearly ruined the entire operation with that nonsense. but there is so much gold in the rest of the movie, like I can't even think of another scene or performance that wasn't pitch perfect.
The next tier is Hollywood, Jackie Brown, and Reservoir Dogs. Absolute QT magic, but there are times when they sort of sag a bit.
The bottom tier in the mocat QT system are the KB's and H8 (still great! but somehow not quite the same magic for me)

I think Hateful Eight is severely underrated but I love a good whodoneit? I also agree with whoever said Deathproof is underrated. I enjoyed Jackie Brown a lot. I think Pulp Fiction and Inglorious Basterds are clear one and two in either order. I thought the ending of Django was terrible.

Agreed H8 is super underrated. I made Mrs. Stevesie wait to watch it until we were snowed in one day. It's the best snowed in movie since Snow Day.

Deathproof is pretty great but the final 30 seconds or so kind of ruin it for me. (Slight spoiler ahead) I think I would have been laughing if I was there when it was being recorded.

Ruined how? It's supposed to be lighthearted.

It didn't really fit the vibe of the rest of the movie. We go from homeboy ramming the car the girls are in/on, which is insanely intense, to them comically kicking him one by one while he sits there on his knees not trying to defend himself.

I liked H8, Once Upon a Time, and Res Dogs(in that order, btw), but they were no where near the fun ride of Inglorious, Django, and Pulp.

As for Jackie, I haven't seen that since it came out in the theaters.  I need to rewatch.

I have never watched Deathproof.

We should also add Dusk till Dawn to this discussion.  Pretty fun movie, imo.  I know it's not QT's, but iirc he had a pretty big hand in it.

The Birdcage - 6.5/7 - If you close your eyes and imagine the Genie, Timon and half of the Simpsons characters all interacting, it adds to the enjoyment. However, I did not take this into account when scoring it a 6.5.

That movie was like 25 years ahead of it's time.

Weapons was a lot of fun.  An original, unique horror movie that played with the mechanics of the genre in fun ways.  It's also good to see Cregger follow up Barbarian with something strong.  With all the little twists on the genre in Weapons, I'm hoping he has a pretty deep well of ideas.

Naked Gun was what you would hope a naked gun remake would be.  Nothing that's going to blow your mind but it's fun, brisk, and delivers on the brand.

If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.
