I saw a This Is Spinal Tap gif on social media last week and realized I had never seen it and I've since added it to my movie que.
Greg, I would be suspicious of an American that has no idea who superman is.

'No idea who superman is' is almost impossible given the character is so woven into the fabric of our culture and even globally across cultures.Ironically the most plausible answer is that your gf is a humanoid alien trying to fit in on earth but has obvious blind spots due to her other worldly upbringing.

Citizen Kane - (ignoring all of the impacts it had on film and blah, blah, blah) 5/7 - I get it, it's an important film, but there are soooooo many films from that era that I would rewatch and it is not one of them.
I like Citizen Kane just fine (seen it 2-3 times), and I agree Casablanca is way more entertaining, although I don't necessarily understand the comparison

It's like, a thousand times more entertaining. Also, can't believe you just now got to Citizen Kane. It seems your travels really slowed your movie watching down.
Lost Highway is the first David Lynch movie I really enjoyed. It's a fun, wild ride. The cast was fun, too. Bill Pullman and his SecDef from Independence Day, Richard Pryor (cameo), Patricia Arquette.
