I watched braveheart for the first time recently and really enjoyed it.  I watched pulp fiction the other night for the first time and thought it was pretty mediocre.
I'm the complete opposite. Braveheart kind of sucks tbh.

I still think pulp fiction is good but it probably loses some impact when you see it after 20 years of it influencing other filmmakers.

I thought it was great.  I really like those big period piece epics though.  It's dumb I hadn't watched it before.

That's a fair take. I still really like pulp fiction, Tarantino dialogues are some of the best

Same. Watched Gladiator for the first time in prob 10 years a few months ago. Was a great watch.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Well, it’s one of the all time great gay American films, and you are a very masculine Latino. Probably wasn’t meant to be.

At the time, it was groundbreaking in a number of ways.

sometimes groundbreaking stuff ages well (beatles)
sometimes groundbreaking stuff doesn't age well (braveheart)
sometimes groundbreaking stuff mostly ages well, but because it inadvertently spawned so much other stuff, it doesn't seem groundbreaking anymore (pulp fiction)
sometimes groundbreaking stuff mostly ages well, but because it inadvertently spawned both numetal AND butt rock, you look upon it with disdain (nirvana)

Pulp fiction holds up way better than braveheart or heat.

100%, just so many iconic and great scenes even if it's done a way that seems overtrodden by this point

I had a long standing tradition of demanding the right of Prima Nocta when my HS and college friends announced their intent to marry. Never worked out.

Took in Haunting in Venice last night w/ mrs nicname at the local cinema 8. Very fun movie experience. Would recommend!

TMNT: Mutant Mayhem. I liked it. I wanted to love it, but instead I just liked it. The animation style was really cool. Several references I didn't understand due to being old that my kids had to fill me in on.

Nope, but that sounds fantastic.  I wish I'd have known
