Watched most of "the Last duel" and I'm not sure why I thought it might be good but it was absolutely a pile of garbage.

You know, it's posts like this that make me think I should watch it.

that's unfortunate, from the trailer it felt like a guarantee that i'd enjoy it.

I liked dawn wall more. Free solo a little more stressful. Dawn wall more emotional. Both enjoyable.

You guys thought those dudes were crazy. Watch the alpinist!

Weird. I think the trailer made it look terrible. Then I read reviews and how Ridley Scott blamed its lack of success on millennials and cell phones and I was intrigued. Then I saw House of Gucci and decided that Ridley Scott can GTFOOMF. Now I don't know what to think!

On another note...My Fair Lady, you guys. Great flick!

Finally finished the duel

The actual duel scene was pretty awesome.

Rest of the movie. Awful

This new Sandra Bullock movie on Netflix is pretty much Double Jeopardy 2.

So, I've been out of the BBS'in for a hot minute, and also going through some physical issues that haven't gotten fixed quite as quickly as I'd hoped.

With those issues comes a LOT of time off work, and little physical ability to do much other than relax. As of last night I finally finished The Hobbit trilogy!

Thoughts on them? 1st one had me excited, 2nd felt like a tease, and the 3rd was just kind of "meh" with the way they ended it. I admit to having not read any but the original Hobbit book decades ago, BTW.

I watched Together Together yesterday and it is the best comedy I've seen this year.  It's on Hulu and has Ed Helms and Patti Harrison

I've been binging movies lately. It's been a combination of a staying in and work being slow.

I watched the first three Bourne movies. They're all pretty good but they also all seem to be the same. Maybe the fourth one with Jeremy Renner will change it up a bit.

Speaking of Jeremy Renner, Wind River was pretty good. It wasn't as much action as I was expecting, though.

I enjoyed The Guilty with Jake Gyllenhaal a lot more than I expected. He's a 911 call operator and receives an interesting call.

Encounter wasn't what I was expecting. It was okay. I feel the Tomatometer score for it is about right.

I saw the most recent Spider-Man movie this weekend. If you are like me, and only like the Tom Holland Spider-Man movies and didn’t like the stupid Tobey McGuire and that other guy’s versions, then this movie will be a solid MEH. If you liked those other ones then you will like this movie.

Do I need to watch all the Matrix's before seeing the new one on HBO Max? I tried to watch the first one last night, but fell asleep. I was getting kinda lost. Felt like Inception.

You haven't seen the original Matrix??? It's one of the best movies OAT!  You should watch it with an awesome TV and very loud speakers.  Make it impossible to fall asleep.

I don't know the answer to your question about the new one, but the 2nd Matrix was still pretty good, and the 3rd was kinda bad.

this isn't even a comment on the quality of the movies (they are fine or whatever), i just irl can't believe you are the age you are and managed to get through high school/college without seeing the matrix

You might need to put the phone down to follow the movie <- not judgment, just knowing how I watch some movies nowadays

#1 is a hof action movie. 2/3 I remember being fine but I also don't remember any of the plot points other than some of the cool fight scenes so I should probably watch them again.

I’ve just never been a big Sci fi guy. I totally feel this way with people and other movies people haven’t seen, because I feel like I’ve seen every movie ever made.

I’m picking this up. I started watching it on the treadmill and couldn’t hear crap. I’ll talk with you guys later. Go Neo!

I would def finish the original, then watch the fighting-on-semi-trucks scene in the second, then skip the third.

After you finish that, I recommend you watch Gladiator.
