Rewatched The Revenant again yesterday. Man, I love that movie. I love everything about it. It's less heavy after repeated viewings, which makes the rewatch a much different experience. That's good in my opinion.

The feeling I experienced leaving the theater after my first viewing was something I've never felt at the conclusion of a movie before. Nobody said anything while exiting. We just kind of got up and left. Definitely speaks to the power of the movie, but not something you really want to feel in subsequent viewings.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Watched The Revenant with asterisk*head after it came out. Honestly thought it was kind of bad. Some very cringe-y moments (bear scene, chase scene). Thought Leo chewed up the scenery. Tom Hardy not much better. Cinematography was phenomenal though.

Went to 1917 last night.  Very good.  The 'one shot' feel of it was very well done and added to the movie instead of potentially distracting from it.

Also saw it yesterday. A very well-made movie. Probably not worth a second viewing, though.

Helped compensate for the lack of dialog and simple story line.  Dunkirk meets Saving Private Ryan, only boring.  :buh-bye:

JoJo Rabbit is a better war flick.

I know like 10 others have already said it but went and saw 1917 tonight and I liked it.

TOGO on Disney+.  Very good.  Willem Dafoe at the top of his game probably. Kids liked it. I teared up at the end and my wife straight bawled.  She loves dogs as do I.  Also the movie made me hate Balto.  What a clown.  Check out TOGO on Disney+.

Greener Grass was a strange ass flick.  It was a mix of David Wain and David Lynch.

I agree.  Glad I saw it, but I won't be watching it again.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

1917 - Great IMO
Bad Boys for Life - Fun action movie, a good sequel for a change.
Underwater - Meh, ok horror/monster movie. Had potential to be way better.

There was a cozy nostalgic feel to The Irishman with that collection of talent doing what they are best at.  Good for De Niro too after a bunch of crap that he's been in.

Yes. Like the best lasagna hitting all the right notes.  No it isn't ever going to be something completely new or win any cinematography awards, but the acting is very solid, the movie is legitimately very funny and the story is very well told with rich characters that have compelling choices and consequences that play out within both short and long arcs.

Wreck It Ralph - 7/7

Live Action Aladin - 6/7

Uncut Gems - 6/7 but I'll never watch it again without a pound of Xanax at my disposal. Did you know Garnett's character was originally supposed to be Embiid?!?

1917 - 5.5/7 - one shot wasn't distracting except I had no idea how much time was supposed to have taken place, because it wasn't supposed to be 2 hours

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood - 6/7

Irishman - I have no idea how to rate this movie. I thought the first two acts were fine but the third act is top fuckin notch. Also, I really wish they would have stuck with the original title "I Heard You Paint Houses"

Agree on the time thing.  He was in that truck for all of 5 minutes.  I'm not sure how that was super convenient help for him
